The technological decision of manufacturing of a forming tool on ceramic reinforced bars

Abstract

When investigating the method of obtaining a precision casting tool for the manufacture of water-valve housings, a technological solution has been proposed for the production of a one-piece design of a mold insert on ceramic reinforced rods. The melt was subjected to a complex action to improve the structure and physico-mechanical properties of the castings, which made it possible to obtain a precision mold insert with a strength at the level of stamped steels.
