About the Journal

The Scientific and Technical Journal “Metal and Casting of Ukraine” is a quarterly peer-reviewed scientific journal of the Physico-technological Institute of Metals and Alloys of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The journal “Metal and Casting of Ukraine” has been published since June 1993 and is currently the leading scientific and technical publication in Ukraine. It is widely distributed in Ukraine and abroad.

The Journal publishes original research articles and comprehensive review papers in the fields of foundry industry, metallurgy and material science. The journal's scientific focus (cluster name) – Mechanical Engineering and Machine Building.

By the decision of the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine on the registration of an entity in the field of print media (Decision No. 1165, Protocol No. 13 of 11.04.2024 with the appendix), the journal was assigned the Media Identifier R30-04142.

Publication in the journal “Metal and Casting of Ukraine” is free of article processing charge. Authors or their affiliated institutions are not required to pay any fees for manuscript processing, peer review, or publication.

The journal ensures free publication for PhD students (third level of higher education) who are funded by the state budget.
